It specialized in Provençal cooking, and was one of the first to offer grilled meats seasoned with Provençal herbs. At the end of dinner, each customer was offered a small gift– a small Herbs de Provence crock, containing a special blend prepared by owner Louis Lombard, who was the first to include lavender flowers in the now-famous aromatic herb blend.
